That is why dog lovers and business partners Cathy Binag, and couple Ina and Patrick Moran opened the first ever dog hotel in Mindanao, the Designer Dogs.
The establishment located at Circumferential Road along Marfori, Davao City provides specialized care for your pet dogs, like grooming services and boarding.
“We call it Designer Dogs because we want a name that is something fabulous. Parang biglaan lang din 'yung pagbibigay ng name, sa kakaisip namin, naisip bigla why not Designer Dogs, so 'yun na 'yung binigay namin na pangalan,” says Binag in an interview.
Binag also assured its clients an improved service compared to their competitors.
Their staff also had training with dog experts who are already known in the industry.
Apart from this, they also use imported and high-end equipment in their salon.
"We use hydraulic tables para mas madali yung paggalaw, iikot na lang siya, tapos taas-baba lang. It won’t stress the dogs," Ina added.
Designer Dogs also uses blowers from top brand Chris Christensen which is known for not releasing any noise that causes stress among dogs.
And if you will travel somewhere and don't have any place to leave your dogs, then Designer Dogs can accommodate them with their elegant suites complete with air condition and comfy bed.
The names of the suites are inspired from the top popular designs and brands such as Salvatorre Furragammo (Salvatorre Ferragamo), Jimmy Chew (Jimmy Choo), Arfmani (Armani), Hairy Winston, Vera Fang (Vera Wang), Sniffany and Co.
While you’re away, you can also check your dogs via closed circuit television cameras which is connected to the internet that is installed inside the dog suite.
Imported scents for dogs are also available at Designer Dogs.
You can choose from CK9 (CK1), Doggiedoff (Davidoff), arfmani (Armani), Cooldog (Coolwater), Acqua de dog (Acqua de Gio).
Binag assured that customers will have nothing to worry since their products are all safe and are FDA-approved.
“We have our supplier from US and everything is imported and made of high quality products. We’re coming up also with organic perfume for dogs,” Binag quipped.
Aside from those products, you can also avail a wide array of hair grooming and other products like their color revitalizing shampoo, lightening and brightening shampoo, cleaning and conditioning shampoo, hair revitalizer, detangling conditioning spray, even colorful nail polishes, dresses, and many more.
