MALAYSIA’s Felda United arrived Monday night at the Bacolod-Silay Airport for their away match against the tough home team of Ceres Negros FC in the 2017 AFC Cup Group G on Wednesday, 7 p.m., at Panaad Park and Stadium.

Coming off a 2-1 loss to Tampines Rovers in the opener, Felda United slowly stepped up with a solid game at home in Malaysia, drawing Ha Noi FC 1-all last Tuesday.

The Malaysian side, currently at the bottom of the group standing, scored their first point against the Vietnamese in water-filled Shah Alam Stadium in Shah Alam.

Mentored by Mohd Bin Nik, Felda United will be bannered by goalkeepers Kalamullah Al Hafiz, Mat Rowi and Mohd Farizal Bin Harun; defenders Mohd Farid Bin Ramli, Nor Fazly Alias, Muhammad Ilham Yusof, Mootaz Bellah El Jounaidi, Mohammad Khairul Ismail, Muhammad Shukor Bin Adan, Mohd Aizulridzwan Razali and Hasnizaidi Bin Jamian;

Midfielders Muhammad Rizqi Azman, Lucas Matias Cano, Zah Rahan Krangar, Stuart Wark, Muhammad Syahid Zaidon, Hadin, Mohd Alif Mohd Yusof and Mohammad Ridzuan Bin Abdunloh Pula; and forwards Norshahrul Idlan Bin Talaha, Muhammad Fakrul Aiman, Mohamad Fazrul Hazli and Gaston Andres Cellerino.

Group leader Ceres FC under Coach Risto Vidakovic is expected to get the jampacked crowd rooting again for them again at the Mansilingan-Alijis border field.

The Bacolod-based squad has registered four points after a stunning 5-0 rout of visiting Tampines Rovers last March 7.

In that match, Lain Ramsay opened Ceres FC’s first goal in 28 seconds of the first half and Bienvenido Marañon scored two more in the 24th and 64th minutes.

Manuel Ott and Fernando Rodriguez delivered one goal apiece while Ceres FC keeper Roland Muller dived and saved with grace and finesse all throughout.
