THE Emilio Aguinaldo Museum is offering free film showing at the Aguinaldo Park until June 12 as part of the first ever Lakbay Kasarinlan Festival: Road to Independence Day celebrations.
“The festival fashioned not only to celebrate the first Philippine Flag and the country’s independence, emphasizing on the participation of the north during the Philippine-American war,” said managing director Emilio Aguinaldo-Suntay III of the Aguinaldo Foundation.
In partnership with Cinematheque Baguio, films to be shown are indie movies produced by local filmmakers of the city.
“A large parachute and tents will be provided for the guests coming in to ensure everyone will be dry during the showing in case it pours,” added events coordinator Claire Bautista.
Approximately 40 to 50 guests can be accommodated by the set per showing. Two movies roughly two hours long will be shown till June 12, explains Bautista.
Other activities include a Zumbathon at the park from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., a bazaar and flavors of the north cook off featuring the different dishes and a poetry and literature slam.
