WE HEARD a lot of good things about this leading Korean restaurant in Davao City since it first opened a few years back, but more great things are expected under its new management that are yet to be discovered.

Gangnam Davao Café and Restaurant located in Matina and Abreeza Ayala Mall, which is now under a new management since April of this year, has maintained its identity of being one of the city’s best go-to Korean diners.

“With Gangnam Davao now in new hands, we are even strengthening our position as one, if not the best, Korean restaurant wherein family and friends can enjoy a shared Korean food experience,” Chester Alaban, marketing head of Gangnam Davao said.

Alaban said that the restaurant is retaining its best-sellers while adding new food items guaranteed to become your favorites as well.

What’s new?

For the one-dish meal, the restaurant is offering squid and pork bulgogi, rib finger, chuck tail flap, stir fried chicken ribs, and stir fried small octopus, among others.

Big orders are also now available for soup stews including spicy chicken stew, spicy seafood stew, spicy Pollack stew, spicy seafood with rapurapu stew, boiled belt fish in hot sauce, and many others.

“Gangnam Davao is now offering discounted food packages under the special lunch promo for weekdays, Mondays to Fridays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., all at only P190 per serving,” Alaban said.

The food package includes the Korean style Pasta with spicy seafood and vegetable, breaded pork cutlet, Kimchi stew and rice cake in hot sauce.

Apart from the lunch promos, a beer promo is also being offered by the restaurant from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. Other additional offerings in their new menu are the cheese cakes and panna cotta in durian, chocolate, coffee or tiramisu flavors.

Those who want the grilled food Korean restaurants are known for, they have sensorized grilling tables to make grilling less tedious and ensure that you get perfectly grilled meat.

What’s more?

Since the new management took over, the Gangnam Davao Restaurant and Café is offering a limited VIP card for all regular customers.

For a minimum of P1,500 purchase, one can get a VIP card for free. The card holders are given five percent discount every dine in or take-out.

The five percentage will be kept in the VIP card as earned points. Meaning, you can redeem these to deduct in your actual bill once you've accumulated enough.

At present, the restaurant has around 500 VIP card holders. Asked on what is the edge of the restaurant from other Korean restaurants in the city, Alaban said, apart from the delectable food, excellent and quality services to all its customers are of Gangnam Davao’s priority.
