MABALACAT CITY -- Mayor Crisostomo Garbo has underscored the vital role of the Barangay Anti-Drugs Abuse Council (Badac) in the government’s war against prohibited drugs.

In a workshop on Wednesday, December 13, the city mayor said that barangay officials are the frontliners and get all information regarding drug operations and personalities.

Barangay officials serve as the government’s eyes and ears, according to Garbo. “Kayo ang nagsisilbing mata at tainga ng pamahalaan.”

The mayor at the same time informed village leaders about the various programs of the City Government including health and burial assistance.

Garbo said government funds should be given back to the people in terms of quality services. “Ang pera ng Mabalacat City ay para sa mga Mabalaquenos lamang.”

Other officials present during the event were Police Chief Inspector Antonio Lim and Local Government Officer Rita Gotiangco. (Reynaldo G. Navales)
