JERSON Gevera and Faye Ramirez topped the first Offsourcing Philippines (OS) Color Run "A fun run for a cause" on Sunday, April 15, in an out-and-back course from Landco Corporate Center.
Gevera of OS Information Technology department clocked a total of 18 minutes and 20 seconds to rule the men's 5k category while Ramirez timed at 18:20 to rule the distaff side in the event graced by over 200 participants.
The two winners both received P5,000 each.
Mary May Valeros, meanwhile, won the raffle draw comprising of an overnight stay for two at the Marco Polo Davao.
Apart from the fun run, body painting, zumba and stretching, Easter egg hunt and dance showdown also spiced up the fund raising event which will benefit the Mindanao Aids Advocate Association Inc.
OS chief of staff Dawnie Detalla, expressed her gratitude to all the people who made the event a huge success.
"A lot of OSam employees gave extra effort to gather and join this cause which just shows how strong our OS culture is," Detalla who gave extra credits to the OS Happy Team.
Dettalla also said the event aims to support the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and to spread human immune virus awareness.
OS Happiness Team ambassador Alfredo Mondido Jr., for his part, said the event has given them so many values in life such as respect, equality, unity, and love.
"It leads to my vision of creating a world free from gender inequity and discrimination. It's not easy to organize this kind of event but our desire to change lives what makes us more inspired," he said.
OS support operations manager and project head Dony Hioca said he didn’t expect the event to be such a blast.
He, however, realized that the most important part was not just doing it for fun but rather to give back to the community and change lives.
