A BUSINESSMAN was killed on Christmas Eve in downtown Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported on Sunday.
Zamboanga Sibugay Police Director Romulo Cleve Taboso identified the victim as Omar Daligdigan, who was into the business of ready-to-wear (RTW) garments.
Taboso said that Daligdigan was fatally shot around 10:30 a.m., Saturday, at the public market of Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Taboso said investigation showed Daligdigan was attending his RTW store when two suddenly appeared and shot him thrice with a caliber .45 pistol.
He said the victim was rushed to a medical facility in the nearby town of Diplahan for medical attention but failed to reach the hospital alive.
He added investigation continues in a bid to identify and arrest the suspects, who fled after they shot the victim. (Sunnex)
