SAN LUIS -- The Provincial Government of Pampanga, together with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), continues to provide free health cards to Kapampangans through the "Alaga Ka Para na Maayos na Buhay" program.

On October 24, the health care caravan visited this fourth district town to distribute PhilHealth membership data records (MDRs) to indigent residents.

Governor Lilia Pineda personally handed out the MDRs to at least 1,900 Luiseños in an awarding ceremony held at the municipal covered court.

Pineda urged the recipients to use the PhilHealth cards in attending to their health care necessities in all public and identified private hospitals in the province.

She said the Philhealth cards provide financial risk protection and medical assistance free of charge to every Kapampangan, especially those from the marginalized sector.

Pineda said her goal in distributing the MDRs is to make the whole Kapampangan province healthy and sickness-free by equipping every family with the health cards.

Mayor Venanci Macapagal also extended his gratitude to Pineda and the Philheath team for another round of distribution of health cards.

The recipients, he said, will add up to the already thousands of residents who were already given MDRs by the governor.

Also present during the distribution to assist Pineda were Board Members Rosve Henson and Pol Balingit; Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council head Angie Blanco; and Councilors Jayson Sagum and Florentino Ocampo Jr.
