NEGROS Occidental-based Hanah Taekwondo jins collected seven gold, six silver, and five bronze medals to capture the top honors in the recently-staged Visayas Cluster Taekwondo Championships at SMX Bacolod City.
The event gathered some 400 players from the provinces of Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Iloilo, Capiz and Cebu.
Gold medalists are Mary Angeline Alcantara for junior women’s finweight; Janaiah Gerafil for grade school girls 120-128cm; and Ashley Chavez for grade school girls 144-152cm;
Dail Ramyel Pano, junior men’s finweight; Elynne Vic Pano, cadet boys finweight; Denmark Gabayeron, cadet boys’ light weight; and Davon Pecha for the cadet boys bantam weight.
Silver medalists included Caroline Dean Espinosa for junior women’s middleweight; Thea Daniela Galila for grade school girls 52cm advance; Christian Monasque for cadet boys bantam weight; Patrick James Lobaton for grade school boys 136-144cm; Kyle Burata for junior men’s fin weight novice; and Arthur Monasque for grade school boys below 112cm.
Bronze medalists are Gabriella Carmel de las Alas for cadet women light weight; Luigi Escasinas for grade school boys 136-144cm; Al Frances Reyes, grade school boys 136-144cm; Patrick Joy Lobaton, cadet boys feather weight; and Rolyn Jan Tolentino for cadet girls light middle weight division.
Hanah Taekwondo gym also ruled the 1st Regional Philippine Taekwondo League through Living Stones International School’s mainstays Keith Smart Docado, Creoz Agassi Celiz, Rodney Posecion; Jan Mickael Casana and Lester Paolo Escasinas, and Saint Scholastica’s Academy standouts Mary Angeline Alcantara, Shaira Isabel Garbanzos, Ma. Gabriella Carmel delas Alas, Julia Therese Galang and Marycynth Jocson.
Hanah mentor Vic Feria again thanked all parents and everyone who continuously help them in their quest to bring pride and honor to Bacolod City and Negros Occidental.(HGD)
