A MAN from Bacolod City sustained third-degree burns after he set himself on fire Tuesday, days after his girlfriend broke up with him.
Senior Inspector Larry Teovisio, head of Police Station 3, said the victim is a 35-year-old resident of Barangay Singcang-Airport.
He visited his girlfriend at home, but was heartbroken after she decided to leave him.
At around 11:30 p.m. of June 13, he poured gasoline on his body and torched himself.
“He was frustrated and depressed about what happened in their relationship,” Teovisio said.
