THE Holy Child College of Davao (HCCD), St. Mary's College of Tagum (SMCT), Cor Jesu College of Davao (CJC) and Davao Jones Academy eked out victories in last Saturday's resumption of the Escandor Cup 2018 Invitational Basketball Tournament held at the Davao City Recreation Center formerly Almendras Gym.
The HCCD secured its first win at the expense of Philippine Academy of Sakya Davao (PASD) 97-66, in the cagefest presented by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) regional director Glenn Escandor.
SMCT, for its part, shattered the brittled defense of Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) to seal an 81-74 victory while CJC survived the determined Assumption College of Davao 128-122, via overtime.
DJA, meanwhile, routed the Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School 92-76.
