A MAN is facing charges before the court after he allegedly threatened to kill his wife’s colleague in Toril District, Davao City last month.
Charged with grave threats is Demetrio dela Cruz Montano, a resident of the same district.
In a resolution, prosecutor Panfilo Junior Lovitos found probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by Wenceslao Gutierrez.
According to the complainant, the accused was under the influence of alcohol when he went to their office last April 13.
Montano looked for his wife and when he was about to meet her, he then pulled a knife from his waist but it slipped from his grip and fell to the ground. He then picked up the knife to stab his wife. The complainant intervened but the accused also allegedly threatened him.
Gutierrez then returned to their office. But the accused continued to shout at him saying, “Come over here and I will kill you."
