IPONAN A batters blanked sister team Iponan B, 7-0, at the start of the 2017 Barangay Iponan Softball Fast Pitch Open Tournament Saturday morning, July 8, at the Iponan open field in Cagayan de Oro City.
Eric Salcedo and Ronnel Abrera batted with a home run each to lead the charges for Iponan A.
Ferdinand Rara, Jufren Maagad, HR Abrera, Lucresio Rara and Mc Denver Libres completed a home from the runs.
Perfect game maker Arthur Alvarez was too fast and strong to take for the sister team Iponan B.
Another sister teams, Alubijid A and B, were playing each other as of press time.
Balingasag Open champions Alzbals was also making their debut in the tournament against Tagoloan.
Iponan Councilor Mark Acenas officially opened the games through the ceremonial pitch. (JAF)
