AS ONE of Davao City's top business process outsourcing companies, iQor has continued to showcase its human resource's competence, not just in the field of information and communications technology (ICT).
During the 32nd Kadayawan's Pamulak sa Kadalanan, an annual floral float parade, the company was able to present the richness of the city's natural resources and the Dabawenyos' unity through its own entry.
After spending around six weeks to conceptualize and build its annual project, a float bursting with colors while presenting the undeniable creativity and talent of 15 employees/in-house artists of iQor-Davao was built.
iQor’s entry to this year’s Pamulak sa Kadalanan boasted an eclectic array of vibrant flora set in a picturesque scene of a simple, breathtakingly serene depiction of a traditional Filipino farm life.
iQor’s 2017 float displayed the beauty that is Davao in a kaleidoscope of colors brought by various kinds of flowers such as Chrysanthemums, Dendrobiums, Milfores, Roses, Agapanthus and Everlasting as well as other agricultural products like rice, corn grains and sawdust put together to create an impressive masterpiece rich in tradition, values and culture.
Jim Down, iQor's director of operations, shared that by joining this yearly parade of highly-creative floats, something is consistently promoted within the organization.
"It builds a sense of community within our organization and instills pride and unity among employees," he said. This year was already the second time iQor joined the tilt.
He further noted that by participating in the Pamulak sa Kadalanan, iQor has displayed its dedication "to be part of the community and share in the pride of Davao."
When it comes to their experience, Down described it as "fantastic. From both internal employees to external parade goers."
Since 2004, iQor-Davao has been a development partner of the government in creating jobs for the Dabawenyos and its nearby towns. In fact, it has been giving opportunities to at least 1,000 people, especially that it is operating 24/7.
iQor's entry to the Pamulak sa Kadalanan 2017, although it didn't make it to the top 3, was a reflection of the company's continued quest to reach new heights, while promoting both of its employees' welfare and talents.
