THE University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars beat the University of Southern Philippines-Foundation (USPF) Panthers, 84-79, in the 2017 Cesafi elimination game on Saturday, August 19 at the Cebu Coliseum, Cebu City.
USJ-R Jaguars got off to a good start in the first quarter with 16-13, three points ahead of USPF Panthers.
The Panthers bounced back in the second quarter with 37 points against Jaguars' 33, and in the third quarter with 59 points against Jaguars' 57.
Jaybie Mantilla led the Jaguars with 20 points and eight assists, while
Regie Cuyos led the Panthers with 13 points and two assists.
