THE Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU)-Davao will hold the 4th Davao City Juniors Rugby Tournament that will get underway on February 25 at the Crossing Bayabas National High School.
PRFU Regional Development officer Blessie Kate delos Santos, in an e-mail to VoxPop Davao, said the event aims to provide opportunity for athletes to compete, promote the sport and scout for potential athletes in the city.
The one-day competition will pit public school teams entered in elementary and secondary divisions.
Invited schools include V.L. Angliongto Sr. Elementary School, C. B. Bangoy Sr. Elementary School, Sirawan Beach Elementary School, Piedad Central Elementary School, Kabacan Elementary School, Catigan Elementary School, Bankas Elementary School, Wireless Elementary School and Don Juan Dela Cruz Central Elementary School while Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School, Sta. Ana National High School, Doña Carmen Denia National High School, St. Peter College of Toril, Emilio Ramos National High School and Sirawan National High School.
The top three teams will receive trophies. A most improved player award will also be given away.
Participants will all go home with certificates.
