A LOVELY dinner get-together with Cecilia Manguerra-Brainard (fondly called Baby) and her closest childhood friends at the Casino Español de Cebu was one she would never miss out on each time she would visit her hometown Cebu from California where she is currently based. At this intimate get-together, Baby gave each a book entitled “When The Rainbow Goddess Wept,” one of the best-selling books she has ever written plus a beautiful religious piece of souvenir of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, which she took all the way with her on a visit to Mexico! An intimate birthday dinner, an exquisite five-course all special chef creation for Chris Mckowen organized by wife Carla at The Pig and Palm made such a wonderful evening with the closest of family and friends! As the evening unfolded, an incredible “Game of Thrones”themed cake dubbed House Mckowen made by Lani Garcia was brought in and all guests happily (and loudly) sang the birthday song! Mason Cantonao (son of Michael and Lauren) turns two, and chose Jollibee in Lahug, Cebu City as the fun party venue for he was sure that kids like himself would just love it! For an afternoon of games, dancing and a meal in Jollitown, Mason’s little guest friends were handed out a red Jollibeeshaped plate with matching cutlery as handouts, making such a smart take-me-home present!
