A KOREAN national was arrested for child prostitution on Sunday, May 21, in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental.
Police identified the suspect as Lee Seung Jae, 48, temporarily residing at Zamora Street, Poblacion in the said town.
Police records showed Lee was served with an arrest warrant for violation of Section 5 (b), Article III of Republic Act 7610 or Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Maria Angelita Banta-Alcoran of Regional Trial Court Branch 37 in Dumaguete City.
The court has recommended a bail of P200,000 for his provisional liberty.
The suspect is detained at Zamboangita Municipal Police Station. (GYM)
