Koreen Medina has message to AlDub Nation

"PEACE tayo."

This was the message of showbiz newbie Koreen Medina to loyal supporters of Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards.

The 21-year-old aspiring actress will play as the love triangle in the much-anticipated primetime series "Destined To Be Yours" starring the "Eat Bulaga" mainstays.

She will breathe life to Marjorie Escobar, the daughter of the richest family in the province of Pelangi who will later on fall in love with Benjie, played by Richards.

Medina shared that she auditioned for the role and was very thrilled when she got the part.

Alongside the congratulatory messages she received, many also asked her if she's ready to face the staunch AlDub fans.

"Noong sinabi sa amin na yun nga for AlDub teleserye, sinabi kaagad sa akin na handa ka bang ma-bash. Kami naman na nag-audition po, sobrang magandang opportunity ito to showcase your talents," she said.

Medina added that she's friends with Richards and Mendoza and she even share the same tent with the latter.

She said they've talked about it in passing.

"Off cam, sobrang wala kayong masasabing mali kay Alden and Maine, lalo na kay Maine kasi magkasama kami sa tent, e, so talagang chikahan lang kami. As long as alam ko naman na hindi totoo ‘yong sinasabi nila, what will happen.. So, parang dedma, peace tayo."

Medina added that she learned to turn-off the notification of her social media accounts and to refrain from reading tweets or comments.

The actress said she's just thankful that she's part of the new series and she'd rather focus on her work.

"Nakakatuwa rin na sa position ko as a new talent, makikita rin yung big stars. To work with them is really an honor. Yun bang kapag nakitungo sila, they’re super welcoming, super warm na hindi ka talaga ma-out of place," she said.

"Destined To Be Yours" premieres February 27 on GMA Telebabad. (VoxPop Philippines)
