WHEN her term ends, Ms. International Kylie Versoza is hoping to put up a foundation that would help advocate depression and suicide awareness.
In her first visit to Baguio City since winning the crown, Versoza, told local journalist the foundation hopes to help educate people on depression and suicide after becoming a volunteer of the Natasha Goulbourn Foundation.
“I’m not keen on joining showbiz but I want to put up my own foundation,” said the Baguio beauty titlist during a press conference at the Baguio Country Club.
Versoza in her earlier interviews said depression and anxiety are one of the youth's main problems of today adding it has affected many people different ways but it is treatable.
The Ateneo De Manila University Business Administration added mental health is something not talked about often but believes the most fundamental knowledge is managing the minds and emotions which are not often taught in schools.
Versoza added she is happy to be back home and hopes to be in the Summer Capital more often despite her hectic schedule.
The newly crowned Ms International is also in the city for a “Homecoming and Charity Dinner” on November 26 at the Baguio Country Club.
Beneficiaries for the event include UNICEF, Variety Club and the Childhood Cancer International.
