AT LONG last, after years of silence, the Lamb of God School Academy (LGSA) juniors made some noise by pulling off a 76-55 victory over Brokenshire College of Davao (BCD) in the finals of the United Basketball League (UBL) inter-high school basketball competition that came to a close on January 27 at the Gaisano Grand City Mall Sky Gym.
With the win, LGSA relished their first championship title in 2018 and will barge into battle with a boosted morale in the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Davao City leg.
For LGSA coach IsaiasGravador Jr., the newly-acquired feat is a concrete testament of their hard work and dedication that was strengthened by the full support of the management.
"The LGSA community and the faculty members were very supportive especially our director Elnora Raganit and LGSA faculty member MaxerRaganit," said Gravador, who was assisted by Ferdinand Barayuga.
The multi-titled coach admitted that it was a tough challenge for them to rise to the top, taking into account of dealing with seasoned teams in the league.
But with that experience, Gravador considers it as a stepping stone for the team to become better.
Kane Montero paced LGSA with 13 points as Carrera added 12 to seal the victory.
Miguelito Manuel, Rani Sendiong, Rommel Juntilla and Jan JanBarayuga combined for 30 points.
