THE Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) advised officials of the city’s 30 barangays to coordinate with the law enforcers if there are new residents in their villages.
Senior Supt. Rommel Cabagnot, LCPO director, held a series of meetings with the barangay officials and security officials from various establishments following the bombing in Davao City last Friday night that left 14 people dead and more than 60 people injured.
Cabagnot said that there is no immediate security threat in the city, but he wants everyone to be vigilant at all times.
“Basta naay bag-ong nawong sa barangay kuhaon ang detalye (If there are new faces in the barangay, we advised barangay officials to get profile details),” Cabagnot said.
Cabagnot also advised yesterday the 11 security officials of financial and commercial establishments to be alert, especially on people who are acting suspiciously.
In Mandaue City, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Felix Suico said they have acquired new medical equipment which they can use in case of any disaster.
He said three ambulances will also be delivered to the City this month.
The City Government has been upgrading its facilities to ensure that the incident in Davao will not happen in Mandaue.
