Limlingan: Added mobility to the Pampanga police

Published on

LAST week, Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda distributed brand new police patrol vehicles to 21 municipalities of the province, the police provincial office, the Philippine Public Safety College and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

No less than Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, PNP-Central Luzon Director Chief Superintendent Aaron Aquino and some local officials came to witness the turn-over of the said vehicles to the municipal police stations and other beneficiaries of the donation by the provincial government.

Aside from the patrol vehicles, the governor donated two mobile phones under postpaid accounts that shall be used as another form of communication for the men in uniform in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.

The distribution of the said patrol cars and mobile phones are just another manifestation of the support of the Provincial Government to the local police stations. Policemen have the full support of the governor in terms of logistics, mobility, and communications.

Perhaps, we can count on our fingers the number of governors in the country who truly support even local policemen, with the latter merely relying on the mercy of the national headquarters for their operational needs.

In line with the Provincial Capitol’s thrust against crime and illegal drugs, the newly distributed vehicles and mobile phones will be of important use for policemen. In fact, mobility is one of the problems of policemen in the past in their role of maintaining peace and order in the province.

The said patrol cars are very proper and fitting in police operations since they are considered all-terrain vehicles. They are highly mobile even in hot pursuit operations in rugged terrains.

Further, policemen have their morals boosted with the support of Governor Pineda to them. They have furthered their impression that they are given their needs while in the fulfilment of their duties as peacekeepers.

With the new patrol vehicles donated to Pampanga policemen, the PNP Chief has lauded the logistical support of the Provincial Government to local law enforcers.

In addition, the PNP provincial hierarchy is very much thankful for what has been bestowed to local policemen in every municipality in the province. Again, policemen’s spirits have been uplifted with the provision of new vehicles for their use in doing their jobs.

Meanwhile, the citizenry in the province is likewise thankful for the new patrol vehicles because of the fact that the added mobility of policemen, the latter can respond quickly and can immediately attend to the needs of the public in terms of keeping peace and order.

Thank you Madam Gov.
