Linking Kagay-anons with jobs overseas

A TOP manpower agency is now in Cagayan de Oro to help offer Kagay-anons land overseas jobs, particularly in the Middle East.

Percival Torres, Operations and Business Development Manager of PhilQ Manpower Services Inc., said its agency, based in Manila, has been giving job opportunities to the Filipino people for more than ten years now.

He said PhilQ Manpower aims to help each individual grow professionally and be rewarded financially.

Torres said they decided to put up a branch in Cagayan de Oro because of its strategic location and the undeniable growth of the healthcare services here, which is the agency's main focus.

"CDO is a strategic area for us, we make sure na itong area na ito ay mabigyan ng focus because there are so many big hospitals here na pwede naming i-tap," he said.

Torres said the demand for healthcare workers is at its peak now and Cagayan de Oro has a lot to offer, citing the overwhelming number of nurses in the city and in the nearby provinces, who desire to work abroad.

Although the company has just started its operation this year, Torres said they welcome some 500-600 applicants in just a month.

Torres also pointed out that the PhilQ Manpower does not only send Filipinos to Middle East but all over the world.

"We cater to all countries, even in Europe, US, Japan, everywhere pwede tayo mag-deploy ng Filipino workers all over the world. Kahit yung focus primarily natin is in health care, we also offer jobs in construction, manufacturings, even hotels and restaurant workers," he said. (PO)
