Live wire electrocutes man in Moalboal, Cebu

A 66-YEAR-OLD man died after he was electrocuted by a live wire on Sunday morning, June 11, in Sitio Pangi, Barangay Tomonoy, Moalboal, Cebu.

Police identified the fatality as Silveriano Rabor Lacanilao, a resident of Pangi.

Lacanilao's relatives told the police that he fenced his residence with a live wire and he reportedly forgot to switch it off when he went outside before the incident happened.

The police station received the report about the incident at 11 a.m.

The team composed of Police Officer 2 Arnold Sergio and PO1 Benjamin Ganda was dispatched to the area.

They learned that Marlo Gabales, 26, was the first person to notice Lacanilao lying on the ground unconscious while holding an electric wire.

Sergio and Ganda rushed Lacanilao to the town's municipal health center, but he did not reach the hospital alive. (VoxPop Cebu)
