CEBU -- Fifty-four candidates of the first Binibining Cebu pageant this year were presented to members of the media at the Mountain Wing Atrium of SM Seaside City on Tuesday, August 29.
The candidates come from the 44 municipalities and eight cities in Cebu province.
Pre-pageant activities include the Philippine Terno Competition on September 23 in Argao town, the Swimsuit Competition on September 29 at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu, and the Evening Gown Competition on October 4 at SM Seaside City Cebu.
The coronation night will be held on October 28 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
Binibining Cebu aims to honor the province’s diversity and colorful stories through a celebration of heritage and beauty.
The winner will receive P500,000 in cash and P300,000 in kind.
Other prizes for the runners up are the following:
* First runner-up - P300,000 in cash and P100,000 in kind
* Second runner-up - P200,000 in cash and P50,000 in kind
* Third runner-up - P100,000 in cash
* Fourth runner-up - P 75,000 in cash
The municipalities which the winning candidates represented will also receive cash prizes between P50,000 to P200,000. (VoxPop Philippines)
