CONFESSING your love to someone for the first time can be difficult. Most of the time, men initiate the talk in person or through love letters (yes, there are still men who do this), text messages or chats.
But, what if women make the first move?
Netizens asked by VoxPop Philippines on social media gave their thoughts on who should confess first.
"Para naku, kung kinsay naka gusto, kay kung maghuwat kas laki, na wa juy mahitabong relasyon ninyung duha (For me, whoever likes the other should confess first. If women wait for men, there will never be a relationship)," Kimmy Smith said.
Kharla Bermudo said: "Pwede ra pud si girl, pero awkward lang (It’s okay if girls confess first, but it would appear awkward)."
"Kung kinsay naay dakong gusto..bisag kinsa sa kanilang duha. Kay ang panahon karon lahi na usahay, babae na ang manghagad...basta magkasinabot daug na (Whoever has feelings should confess. Nowadays, women are the ones who ask men first as long as they understand each other)," Reb Quiamco said.
"For me, mas maayu jud ang lalaki maoy mouna og sulti sa feelings. Wa ta kahibaw basin magtoo ka nga na in love siya nimo pero assuming ra diay ka, niya PAASA ra diay siya. Sa panahon karun mas maayo ang lalaki maoy mugukod kaysa sa girl coz he will conquer the world (For me, it’s better if men confess their feelings first. It’s difficult if men assume that women are in love with them because they will end up assuming things and hoping for nothing. Nowadays, it’s better for men to chase women because men will conquer the world)," Lyn Baluarte said.
