The Blair Witch Project (1999)

This movie remains one of the most talked about and one of the most successful indie films of all time. It is considered a classic in the modern era of horror films. The movie centers on three film students making a documentary about the Blair Witch legend and us audiences watching the “found footage” on the screen. The result is a hair-raising, first-person viewing experience that is sure to haunt people the next time they decide to go camping in the woods.
Paranormal Activity (2007)

This is the first of the Paranormal Activity franchise. The movie is about a couple who becomes disturbed by a nightly demonic presence so they set up cameras in order to figure out who, or what, is haunting them. Makes you think twice about putting up cameras in the house.
Halloween (1978)

This here’s a classic and the first installment of the “Halloween” franchise. Michael Myers, 15 years after murdering his sister on Halloween night in 1963, escapes from a mental institution and returns to Haddonfield, Illinois. Wearing a white mask, he returns and goes on a killing spree again. Fun fact: This is actress Jamie Lee Curtis’ film debut which earned her the title “Scream Queen.”
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Gore, violence, cannibalism and a chainsaw. Woah!
It was just a visit to a relative’s grave in Texas that turned deadly as the characters fell prey to a group of cannibalistic psychopaths. This has become one of the most talked about and one of the most influential films ever. With a character as memorable as Leatherface among other elements of the film, it’s hard not to talk about it.
28 Days Later (2002)
Genre: Drama, Horror, Science Fiction
It’s a post-apocalyptic film with a handful of survivors looking for sanctuary four weeks after an incurable virus spreads throughout the UK. An outbreak of a virus spreading worldwide, the constant attack of the infected, zombie-like humans while searching for sanctuary, mass carnage—It’s nice to add a little zombie element in the movie marathon.
