Low water pressure affects 3 Dagupan villages

DAGUPAN CITY -- The Dagupan City Water District (DCWD) has adopted a contingency plan to resolve the low water pressure being experienced daily by concessionaires in three southern villages drawing their water from a pumping station that is not functioning well.

DCWD Information Officer Margie Navata said being affected by the trouble at a water pumping station in Barangay Pogo Grande were water concessionaires in Pogo Grande and Barangays Lasip Grande and Malued.

Navata said the reason the Pogo Grande pumping station was not functioning well was the massive cave-in of sand in that facility.

The DCWD was fully aware of the situation and had formulated a contingency plan to resolve the matter.

Navata advised affected residents to store water as low water pressure in those villages start from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. (PNA)
