THE Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) regional office has issued an adoption order, extending until September 30 the temporary route structure for public utility vehicles (PUVs) plying the west coast of Zamboanga City.
This, after the City Government through City Administrator Marie Angelique Go in a letter had requested for an extension of the temporary route structure due to the ongoing pipe laying project of the Zamboanga City Water District and the road widening project of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
Go said the three-month extension aims to provide adequate time for both projects to be completed.
She said the adoption order provided that the extension of the rerouting scheme shall be temporary and for limited duration commencing from July 1 to September 30, 2017, and without prejudice to reverting back to the authorized route scheme of the affected PUVs, upon completion of the pipe laying and road widening projects.
