MABALACAT CITY -- A teacher in this city was named one of the winners in the 2016 Regional Search for Outstanding Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel.
Dr. Alma Bautista, 38, of Barangay San Francisco here, was included in the list of awardees under Memorandum Number 8 of the Department of Education (DepEd)-Central Luzon Office.
Bautista is among the outstanding teachers who will be awarded in this year’s World Teachers’ Day celebration in October.
With almost 20 years in the field of education, Bautista shared her dedication and sincerity to the profession providing quality education to the youth.
Bautista completed her Bachelor of Secondary Education degree at the Angeles University Foundation (AUF), Angeles City in 1999.
She also finished the Master of Arts in Education Major in Filipino at the Bulacan State University, Bulacan in 2008 and doctorate degree at the De La Salle University, Manila in 2016.
Bautista was hailed outstanding teacher by the Division of Mabalacat headed by Dr. Ma. Irelyn Tamayo for 2016 to 2017.
Among the other awards she earned from various school institutions are AUF Alumni Choice Award in 2017, Pagsulat ng Teksto (first place) in 2017 under the DepEd-Central Luzon, and Outstanding Dissertation at the De La Salle University in 2016.
Bautista authored several publications including Pagbasa at Pagsusuri ng Iba’t Ibang Teksto Tungo sa Pananaliksik, Pagbasa at Pagsusuri ng Iba’t Ibang Teksto Tungo sa Pananaliksik (Pampribado), Bahaghari 2: Aklat sa Filipino and Butil ng Pagpapahalaga 2: Aklat sa Edukasyong Pagpapakatao.
Currently, she is a full time teacher at Santos Ventura National High School (Senior High School level) in Barangay Tabun and associate professor in Filipino at the Mabalacat City College in Barangay Dolores.
