CHIEF Superintendent Renato Gumban, acting regional director of Police Regional Office-18 (PRO-18), told his men Friday to maintain operation protocol.
This, after some personnel of the Negros Occidental Provincial Public Safety Company (Noppsc) were allegedly caught carrying fighting cocks following the raid on the house of Renato De los Reyes at Barangay Minoyan in Murcia on Thursday.
Gumban said that policemen should not take any property that is not part of the evidence in any police operation.
Superintendent Frederick Mead, officer-in-charge of Noppsc, denied that his personnel took the fighting cocks.
He explained that his men only carried the fighting cocks from a nearby farm as they were asked by the owner.
Meanwhile, Mead said De los Reyes is now facing charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. (GYM)
