A 29-YEAR-OLD man died after he attempted to shoot policemen in Sitio Media, Barangay Poblacion, Argao, Cebu around 2 p.m. Saturday, September 30.
Police Officer 3 Benjamin Gerozaga identified the fatality as Roy Langomez Alvarado.
Investigation showed Alvarado, a native of Barangay Tulang, Argao, was reported to the police station by his neighbors for allegedly carrying a gun.
A team composed of Police Officer 3 Ronald Perez, Police Officer 2 Howard Maynopas and Police Officer 2 Nerio Cresencio went to the area.
Alvarado allegedly pulled out his .38 revolver upon seeing the policemen, who shot him first, hitting him in different parts of his body.
Alvarado was brought to a town's hospital where he was declared dead by the doctor. (KAL/VoxPop Cebu)
