DAVAO (Updated with corrections) -- The City Prosecutorís Office (CPO) recommended the proper filing of charges against a man for attempting to stab another using a pair of scissors during a Family Day event at Calasanz del Academy at Baliok Davao City.
Prosecutor Irene Joy Tala Montero found probable cause to indict Armando Carcueva Gange for attempted murder on the complainant (anonymity requested) last August 21.
Based on the resolution dated September 6, the complainant was playing an organ at the basketball court in the same school with several members of the faculty, parents and students when Gange, whose shirt and pants were stained with blood, arrived and bumped him with a motorcycle.
It was stated that the complainant fell to the ground and stood up to help Gange whose motorcycle crashed to the pavement.
As the complainant tried to help Gange, the latter suddenly pulled a pair of scissors from his pocket and attempted to stab the former.
The complainant managed to run a short distance and took a chair which he used to defend himself.
Gange was later apprehended by police officers who cornered him in the court.
The police recovered a pair of scissors with hair fibers in it believed to be from Gange's wife, Jacky Lou, whom Gange allegedly killed.
A separate complaint of parricide was filed against the respondent for the murder of Jacky Lou.
Prosecutor Montero found the intent to kill was present in the circumstances and the qualifying circumstance of treachery is present in the commission of the felony. (KVC)
