(Updated) -- A MAN was rescued after trying to jump from a roof deck of a shopping mall in Cebu City Wednesday morning, July 19.
Initial investigation showed that the man, identified as Roberto Mimay, 28, bypassed the security personnel and ran to the roof deck of the mall around 6:40 a.m.
Mimay sat for two hours on the roof deck, causing panic to the security personnel and passersby.
Police Officer 2 Marlon Gonzales of Police Station 3 (PS3) said that after much negotiation, the personnel of Bureau of Fire Protection and police rescued Mimay at 8:20 a.m.
Gonzales also said Mimay suffered from a personal problem.
PS3 Chief Inspector Bienvenido Miral said the shopping mall will investigate the incident. (VoxPop Philippines)
