A MAN is now facing charges before the Davao City Prosecutor's Office (CPO) after he allegedly failed to remit the half million worth of sales of a known food processing company.

Charges of qualified theft and estafa through abuse of confidence were filed yesterday against the former sales man of Virginia Food Inc. identified as Jeffrey Lanorias.

The affidavit of complainant Virginia Food Inc. represented by Marites Falcone alleged the respondent did not declare the P574,087 sales upon his resignation last January.

Based on the police report attached in the affidavit, the sales manager of the company initially reported the incident to the police officers last June 27, after they noticed that Lanorias failed to remit the said amount which the latter collected from several stores and outlets of the company.

The charges against Lanorias were filed through regular filing through the legal counsel of Falcone lawyer Eduardo Gaanan.
