MISS Philippines Maxine Medina failed to make it to the Top 3 semi-final list of the 65th Miss Universe pageant, which was held Monday, January 30, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines.
Medina, who is one of the early favorites in the contest, made it to the pageant's Top 6.
In the question-and-answer portion before the top three was announced, Medina was asked, "What is the most significant change you’ve seen in the world the last 10 years?"
She replied, "In the last 10 years of being here in the world is that I saw the people bringing in one event like this in Miss Universe and it’s something big to us that we are one. As one nation, we are all together. Thank you. Maraming salamat po."
The three top finalists were Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar, Miss France Iris Mittenaere, and Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier.
The winner of the year's edition of Miss Universe will receive the crown from reigning queen, Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines. (VoxPop Philippines)
