ANOTHER drug surrenderee fell to the hands of lawless elements.

Michael Agbuya, 40, a mechanic, was shot by still two unidentified gunmen at 11:10 a.m., Friday, September 23, in front of his residence at Lopez Jaena St. Aurora Hill.

Police reports reveal the victim was doing repair work at the garage of their house when the suspects approached shooting him several times.

Agbuya managed to run inside the house, added the police report while the suspects fled on foot towards South Sanitary Camp.

Agbuya is the 14th victim of drug-related extrajudicial killing in the Summer Capital since the government started to intensify their campaign against illegal drugs in July and a day after manicurist Chona Oliveros, also known as Chona Mapili, 47 – years – old, of Purok 7, San Luis Extension was shot three times at around 11:30 in the morning of September 22.

Four others were also killed in the city during legitimate police operations, raising the death toll to 18.

But despite the recent spate of killings in the city, police reported a 38.21 percent drop with 1943 crimes committed from January to August 2016, as compared to 3145 in January to August 2016.

These barangays include Kabayanihan, Campo Filipino, Lourdes Proper, San Roque Village, Quezon Hill proper, Guisad Surong, Guisad Central, Camdas, East and West Quirino Hill, Apugan-Loakan, Happy Hallow, Upper Dagsian, Imelda Marcos, and Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo.

Other barangays also include Aurora Hill Proper, AZCKO, Lower Gen. Luna, Happy Homes Pinsao Pilot Project, Holy Ghost Proper, Upper Gen. Luna, Country Club Village, and ABCR.
