MISAMIS Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano will be submitting to the Provincial Board a P1.9 billion budget proposal for the 2017 fiscal year.
Emano said enclosed in the 2017 budget was the procurement of vehicles needed by several departments to mobilize the delivery of basic services.
"Naka-focus sad ta sa pagtul-id sa kapitolyo nga gatulo ug magbaha sa matag ulan. Pag-ayo sa mga pasilidad ug pagpalit sa mga sakyanan sa mga departamento nga nanginahanglan og sakyanan labi na sa provincial jail," Emano said.
Emano said his administration for the next year is heading towards boosting the capacities and procuring all necessary equipment for all its departments.
The Provincial Government would also focus on renovating several physical structures of the Capitol which has not been completed in the previous year.
The Provincial Capitol would still maintain its eight-pillar program that includes health, environment, education, infrastructure, peace and order, transportation, cooperatives, and agriculture.
Despite the lean budget, Emano said he will not sacrifice his administration's flagship program, “MisOr Cares,” which is partly funded by the 20 percent development fund.
The Provincial Capitol has paid around P900 million from the P1.2 billion debt left by the previous administration, Emano said.
Emano said the previous administration's debt were gradually paid through the savings without sacrificing the delivery of basic services.

The creation of the budget was the result of the strategic planning conducted by all the department heads of Provincial Capitol.
"Lipay kaayo ta ang nag-gama ang matag departamento ug niagi gayud sa dili tiaw nga pagtuki tungod kay ang matag usa nag-present man gayud during sa strategic planning," Emano said.
