CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The City Government has set this year's Pyestang Fernandino celebrations with month-long events highlighting culture, entertainment, and the city's local history.

This as the city started with the 75th death anniversary commemoration of martyr Jose Abad Santos.

The city will also host the Fernandino Farmer's Week Celebration on May 15 to 20, as well as the National Heritage Month Celebration which will focus on old ancestral houses of the historical district as well as kalesa tours and Kapampangan art exhibits.

The city will also be hosting the Flores de Mayo, a promenade and flower offering of the most beautiful women of the city before the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary on May 20.

The city will also be commemorating the National Flag Day on May 29 and the Pyestang Fernandino Variety Show and Music Festival on May 30. There will also be civic events for the whole month as well as beauty pageants to be hosted by the city.

“This is one way of expressing our gratitude to our partners in governance, particularly the private sector. Pyestang Fernandino is a thanksgiving and a time of reunions and gatherings for families and friends. We do this for the love of culture and tradition,” said Mayor Edwin Santiago.
