THE Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) noted more males than females among never-married based on 2015 Census of Population (Popcen).
Data obtained from PSA-Davao showed that 907,562 men and 721,547 women in Davao Region are still single (or marital status of person aged 10 and over who has never been married).
A higher proportion of males with 55.7 percent than females with 44.3 percent were reported among the never-married persons.
Of the total population 10 years old and over, 42.7 percent were never married while 41.3 percent were already married.
The rest of the total population were categorized as in-common-law or live-in marital arrangement with 10.4 percent, widowed with 4.2 percent, divorced/separated with 1.3 percent, and had unknown marital status with 0.1 percent.
PSA-Davao reported that the proportion of females was higher than males among those who were widowed with 72.3 percent, divorced/separated with 56.4 percent and in common law/live-in with 50.2 percent.
