AFTER a fruitful 2017, the Davao Brotherhood Sports-Davao Inter-BPO League (DBS-DIBL) expects a busy year ahead as it will bring more exciting sporting events for BPO companies and their employees in 2018.
However, DIBL commissioner Mark De Guzman, in the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum held on Thursday, November 23, at the Annex of SM City Davao, said they will end the year with a one-day bowling tournament slated on December 17.
"Since tapos na kami sa basketball last March and volleyball last November 12 which focuses sa mga employees, we will have this bowling event intended for the management people as our simple way of thanking them for supporting us all throughout the year," said De Guzman.
While preparing for the bowling tournament, De Guzman said DIBL is already preparing for the second season of the basketball event that will be hosted in the newly-refurbished Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Fil Oil Flying V Activity Center early in February.
"After basketball, we will then proceed to the volleyball competition," said De Guzman, pronouncing that there will be two seasons for both basketball and volleyball in 2018 on top of the individual sports such as chess, badminton, darts and table tennis.
The DIBL Bowling Tournament, meanwhile, is open to all BPO companies.
Each team should compose of five players that will play in a four-game series.
The registration is pegged at P5,000 inclusive of food and other bowling fees.
