CASH amounting to P234,500 and items worth P378,040 were stolen from a department store in Barangay Progreso, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, November 15.
Records from Binalbagan Municipal Police Station showed that an employee of Sherie Anne’s Department Store discovered around 8 a.m. that the roll-up door of the store was forcibly opened.
The robbers manipulated the closed circuit television camera to avoid being identified.
Based on the police inventory, the robbers carted away assorted items like boxer shorts worth P540, 47 wrist watches worth P376,000, five pairs of slippers worth P500, several canned goods worth P500, and cigarette packs worth P500.
The total worth of stolen items and cash reached P612,540.
Suspects Romeo Hermoso, 23, of Barangay Sto. Rosario, and Jimmy Sarad, 18, of Barangay Enclaro, as well as two minors were arrested in a follow-up operation.
The stolen items were recovered from their possession.
Hermoso and Sarad are detained at the station while the two minors were turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development custody.
