Motorcycle-riding men kill 2, wound 3 in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY -- Motorcycle-riding gunmen have killed two men and wounded three others in two separate shooting incidents in Pangasinan on Friday, September 23.

The police are investigating whether the killing was related to illegal drugs.

The first shooting incident occurred at a gasoline station in Poblacion, Binalonan, around 4:20 p.m. Friday. The victim was identified as Christopher Francisco, 39, who sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and died on the spot.

Wounded by stray bullet in the right tricep was Roberto Ocampo, while Felix Repollo, the gasoline boy, was wounded on his left feet due to flying hard objects.

The assailants escaped on board a motorcycle.

The other incident happened around 12:20 a.m. along the national road in Barangay Zamora, Mangatarem.

Welder John Lester Paningbatan, 25, had just crossed the national road when the suspects aboard a motorcycle emerged and shot him in various parts of his body.

Paningbatan was rushed to the Velasquez Medical Clinic, where he was declared dead on arrival. (PNA)
