THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) 7, in partnership with Paseo Arcenas and Rural Net, inaugurated a new NBI satellite office in Banawa, Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.
NBI 7 Director Ricardo “Rick” Diaz; Atty. Jessie Vargas, CEO of Rural Net; Abby Ponce, manager of Rural Net; and Alvin Joseph Lim, counterpart of Emelyn Aonan, director of the NBI office, led the cutting of the ribbon.
The event started with a blessing led by Fr. Denis Montecillo of the Alliance of Two Hearts Parish.
“The ultimate beneficiary is the people. The population of Cebu is so big that we have to open more (sites),” said Diaz.
Paseo Arcenas had offered their place for the NBI to occupy.
Fourth
The Banawa NBI site was the fourth satellite office to open in Cebu. Other satellites are located in the Enan Chiong Activity Center in the City of Naga, the old municipal hall of Bogo City, and J. Centre Mall, in Mandaue City.
Diaz said that they are expecting to accommodate at least 1,000 applicants per day.
NBI applicants will undergo the same process. However, NBI online application is recommended by the local government for convenience. Online facilities are available for applicants on a separate window intended for online encoding.
