CERES Negros FC is set to host Global Cebu FC on Saturday, December 16, for the inaugural Philippines Football League (PFL) finals at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.
Top provincial officials called on the Negrense football fans to rally behind the home squad.
Governor Alfredo Maranon Jr. asked the Negrenses to come to Panaad and support Ceres FC as they aim to win the championship title.
Vice Governor Eugenio Lacson congratulated Ceres FC for earning again a spot in the AFC Cup and assured them the support of Negrenses this weekend as the Busmen play against Global Cebu FC for the title.
With both teams assured of the 2018 AFC Cup slots, Ceres FC is expected to play hard and take advantage of the projected 4,000 crowd at Panaad.
Global FC is scheduled to arrive today to prepare for Saturday’s “Visayas Classico.”
Set to land in Bacolod-Silay Airport on different flights are the PFL delegation, match commissioner, and match officials.
Venue inspection by PFL and Local Organizing Committee will be at 4 p.m. Thursday.
