Negrenses in PHL team for Asean School Games

IN THE 2017 Asean School Games in Singapore are Negrenses who were part of the national contingent for this tournament which ends July 21.

Daniel Coo and Dann Spencer Lim are with the Philippine basketball team as both are now with Chiang Kai Shek School after playing for St. John’s Institute as Baby Blue Falcons.

The duo is part of Richard Goldwin Monteverde’s national squad with National Capital Region’s Miguel Oczon, EJ Agbong, Gerry Abadiano, Joshua Ramirez, Robert Manuva, JC Luciano and Carlo Tamayo; Davao City’s Vince Cuajao and Aljay Alloso; and Iloilo’s Ryan Calama-an.

Also two Silay City girl basketeers are in the Philippine 18 Under Women's Basketball team. Kentjane Pastrana and Princess Fabruada are both senior high school students of Doña Montserrat Lopez Memorial High School.

There are 10 players from Negros Occidental who are part of the more than 500 Philippine contingent who will compete in nine events, including athletics, swimming, badminton, sepak takraw, basketball, gymnastics, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball.
