A TOP drug personality in the list of the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (NOCPPO) was charged on Monday, September 11, with violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Joey Nillosan, 40, is facing charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia filed by the Hinigaran Municipal Police Station before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Bacolod City.
He was arrested in a drug bust in Hinigaran town Saturday, September 9.
Operatives led by Chief Inspector Jake Barila arrested Nillosan, a level two high value target of NOCCPO, in Barangay Quiwi over the weekend when he sold “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride to a poseur buyer for P1,000.
Nillosan, a suspected member of Ramos drug group, was also found possessing 10 sachets of shabu worth P100,000, three .45 caliber pistol with magazines, and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was first arrested in June by town police operatives with agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Negros Island Region in a raid at Pantalan-Daan, Barangay 1.
Nillosan was not charged after the inquest proceedings.
Three years ago, he was able to post bail for charges related to illegal drugs and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. (NLG)
