TOP futsal teams from various local government units are expected to converge at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center (Nompac) on December 16 for the Negros-Villa Angela FC Futsal Tournament.
Aside from Nompac, the event, which will run until January 21, will also be played at the Atleta Talisay.
The month-long event, in cooperation with the Provincial Sports Office-Negros First and Negros Occidental Football Association, will feature teams in the U11 (born 2006 and later, U14 boys and girls (born 2003 and later), Men's Open, Women's Open, and 35 Up Veterans.
Each team should have a maximum of 12 players and a minimum of 10.
"We are optimistic that by organizing this form of tournament, we can elevate not only the level of football and futsal in our province but, also the lives of these young aspiring players," said Miguel Luis Rivero of Villa Angela FC.

"The committee reserves the right to decide which teams are fit and eligible in the tournament without prejudice to other teams who will not be shortlisted," Rivero added.
