MAJORITY of the netizens polled by VoxPop Philippines on social media chose to prioritize career than love life, while some said they can do both.
The #SLOPangutana poll is a new segment of VoxPop Philippines’ webcast, VoxPop Lite On, that aims to engage with more people and get their thoughts or sentiments on anything newsworthy.
The poll, posted on August 11 on , gathered 33 reactions, 61 comments and five shares as of Tuesday, August 22.
Career
“As per based on my experience, I choose career as my top priority... How could one appreciate 'love' when he/she is in a -- tupsy turvy situation? Nowadays, I strongly believe, people must use their brain rather than their heart for them to survive and to exist amidst the difficulty of life. Love, therefore, is just an option, not a priority,” said Marysol Pajaron Romo.
“Career.. Focus on yourself first.. Earn and Save.. Love life mosugat ra na.. Praktikalay ta.. Di ta kapalit og bugas anang love life.. Enjoy yourself first (Love life will come. We have to be practical. We can’t buy food with love life),” said John Carlo Florentino.
Grace Pansacala said: "I'll choose career. Kay nganu man? It's because pwede man nako ma meet ang love along the way while nag build ko's akong career. At least, mag-meet mi halfway. Win-win situation ba."

Some said they can do both, with FortizChe Pulga saying: "If you are well defined at work, you are also well define in a certain relationship."
"Pede nman sabay para di malungkot ang buhay (It is possible to do both so you won’t be lonely in life)," said Ivee Keisha.
Jess Manalang said: "I say compromise and sacrifice to attain both. You can't have food on the table w/ just love, money can't buy happiness."
Love life
Only a few chose to prioritize love.
CHi RiLo said: "I'll choose love first over career. Mabuild nimo imong career eventually while being happy and in love. Ang love nga payter, kana gae pina Zing, tagsa ra kau na muagi sa kinabuhi, magbaha imong ‘what ifs’ if you'll choose career over love (You can build your career eventually while being happy and in love.
